Righty ho, I have no experience of the autocom world and therefore don't have a clue what I need.:blast I have a system 6 flip front helmet coming in the post which has the headset fitted in it. It has the microphone boom thing too. Now, what do I need to get so I can "wire" up my iPhone 6 to it?:nenau
I want to be able to use the phone for calls and the music that I have on it. Not too fussed about bike to bike or even rider to passenger comms.
Ta muchly. :thumb2

(be gentle):D

for that you need………..nothing ..just blue tooth the phone to the helmet and away you go

Ok, sorry, it's just the speakers and microphone boom thing that's in the helmet with a lead/cable thing hanging down. I now see a "headset" isn't what I meant. Told you I didn't know what I was talking about!:blast I'm guessing I need something to plug into the connector but what and what does that go into?:nenau

If the system 6 is already fitted with a Bluetooth kit all you need is to pair the phone to the satnav, then pair satnav to helmet..simples.
But useless to us old fogey types. I still prefer wired units..

so the Headset you talk off and have in the helmet is not a BMW communication system ? if it is there should be no wires hanging down !!! is it the auto com headset you have installed ?

In the advert (on here, deffo a system 6 lid) it says "autocom headset fitted but easily removed if not wanted". There's also a round plug with pins in it in one of the pictures so I'm guessing it's not a BMW fitted unit?:nenau

it sounds like it has the Autocom hard wired kit installed. You'll need the rest of the kit for it to work. Does the round plug you speak of have 5 pins in it or 7 pins ??.

Dunno yet! It's still in the post to me. :D You can't see how many pins there are in the picture either. I can see 4 for definite but that doesn't help! :blast What's the "rest of the kit" you refer to then?:nenau

Arse. If I wasn't so far away from you I'd probably have that set up. Plus it wouldn't help me for this weekend when I'm off to the Alps!:blast Looks like for the short term I'm gonna have to pull the autocom thing out and just put a basic pair of helmet speakers in my lid!

I'd certainly recommend the autocom setup, when you're back from your travels if you want to see how I've got mine setup give me a shout :thumby:
