I've got an autocom wired to my GS1150 but the chap that wired it up has connected it directly to the battery, so I have to switch it on and off when I want to use it.

I'd like to wire it to an ignition-switched live so I can leave it switched on all the time (I like to listen to the radio on the way to work) without flattening the battery.

Does anyone know of an easily accessible ignition-switched wire under the seat?

The autocom switches off when you unplug the headset cable, so no need to switch it off, its automatic.

The guy who wired it did it correctly, leave it alone.

But how do you know it's switch off ?????

Bit like the lght in the fridge if you know what I mean

When I was a baby, I used to cry so much, my mother used to put me in a little room, all on my own. The fridge light does go out when you close the door......

Is this the case for all Autocoms past and present? If so why do dealers wire to the back light?

On & Off

On my old rice-burner I wired it to the back light so you could turn it off while riding......
