I need a bit of help/advice regarding the best way to connect a Zumo 550 to a Autocom pro avi 300. Not too bothered about the phone bit yet but will in future, just need to listen to directions and music. :beerjug:

If you want phone at a future date I would use the Bluetooth.

I bluetooth my phone to the 550, and then set the autocom on the 550 via bluetooth as a headset.

Works a treat.

Thanks for the advice, the only thing that i cant get my head round is that i have the Autocom speakers fitted to my crash helmet, that you plug into, how can i use Bluetooth for this without putting a different set up in the lid?

You add a bluetooth dongle to the Autocom. Then your headset in the helmet remains the same.

The Zumo connects to your Autocom by wire for directions and music etc.

You then, as Toad said, get the Autocom bluetooth dongle which plugs into your Super Pro. The Zumo then pairs with the Autocom dongle and also pairs with your phone.

Your phone functionality is then taken care of by the Zumo interface, which you set to send only 'phone' traffic via blurtooth to the Autocom.

A word of warning though, some phones work well with this set-up, some phones work now-and-again using this set-up and some phones just don't want to play ball. Bit of a lottery in my opinion.
