I have recently purchased a Super Pro AVI kit 300 Duo I was told the best way to supply power was to connect via the front power socket on the bike (1150 Adventure) also I was informed it was best to install a inline relay to cancel out any feedback from the EMS also again where would the the best place to in stall the bluetooth device on the bike. Any ideas would help. Cheers

Hi, I've always used a hella type plug into the accessory socket by the starter motor, but the other one would be as good. Never used a relay, only have to remember to unplug it after the days ride, just in case it tries to flatten the battery. Not had any interference that I can remember, and that's been running GPS, MP3 player and pillion headset.

Not used bluetooth either :o , but GsRich is a helpfull guy from Autocom and I'd think he'll have seen a few installed. :) See his answer above!

Hello, my bike is off the road until BMW send me some parts but while I've been doing the winter tear down I've re-installed the autocom as per GS Rich's instructions to a switched ignition live wire. If your down in Hassocks I'm not far (Horsham) and I'd have no problems if you came up (if the bits dont arrive soon!) or I could pop down and show you how I've fitted mine.
There is a really good thread recently put up with photos showing directly how to connect to an 1150 adventure. Never had any problems with feedback or any interference - even with the bluetooth.

Cheers for the info, I have been away so sorry for not replying..I will attempt to install the system in the next two weeks, I may contact Sidpick.. cheers

I'm still here, spent some wonga on wiring products / heatshrink, zip ties, solder etc.. so if you want to come over we could get it all sorted in no time!
Mine's been completely 'idiot proofed' since you last posted and works a treat!! easy to remove but works 100% now, your more than welcome to pop in and the kettles always on!

F800 GS switched ignition live wire?

Installed my autocom 300 tonight and just plugged it into the battery. That said, over time (how long I don't know), that'll just flatten it. Has anyone any idea where I might find a said wire or point to plug the live feed into on an 800GS?
