"autolite" plugs - any good?

Autolite spark plugs have been around for years, I think they may have been standard fitment on Fords many years ago..
 
Ran some in my R1100GS for a while and I'd say , yes they make a difference over using the standard Bosch twin electrode plugs. There are other viable alternatives as the Autolites aren't so easy to get hold of in Europe. I think the number (from memory) is Champion R9YC or RY9C - single electrode widely available - helps reduce surging for little money.
Best thing he can do for an immediate and noticeable surging fix is pull out the cat code plug and ride without it. Bike runs richer but it's sooooooo much smoother :)
