Thanks Ev for the route suggestion, it looks tremendous, with lots of opt-in or opt-out points too, to cater for individual preferences.
It will be great to see you, even if just for the day*.
* I assume you'd still erect a tarp?
Hi Paul, Thank you for the comment, despite it not being my original route, just something that I have found on MRA.
I have ( and before somebody does chirp in,
during my lunch break and my teabreak ) tweaked and updated previously posted route to suit the starting and finishing points. These being The Gate is Hanging High Pub/Campsite.
it's not a bad route but avoid Bourton on the Water at all costs. I would head from Great Barrington to Stow on the Wold via Upper Rissington, and used to do that regularly when I lived in Cheltenham.
Also, avoid the Crickley Hill area (coffee stop) due to the dualling of the A417 roadworks causing havoc near there.
I'm just about to depart to catch a ferry so will pick up the thread when I get back from France a week before the event takes place. I'm unlikely to attend as don't do camping, with tents anyway. Happy to be a consultant for routes.
As for chip shops, I believe one in Cirencester recently came top of some list but never used it. There is a good one in Broadway. Behave on the A44 at Fish Hill as heavily policed at weekends.
I agree with you Wessie regarding the Bourton on Water. Being Saturday, it'll be full of Chinese tourist all coming from London by a coach load. Best to be avoided. It'll also be full of likeminded bikers with nowhere to park. I have tweaked the route as suggested regarding Great Barton, Crickley Hill and removed Fish Hill run entirely*, albeit in reverse order.
*Having been in the area a fair few times on my own, and on a warm sunny day, it can be tricky, let alone in a group of riders of various ages.
just throw this cafe near Cirencester into the mix, heard good things but never been personally

Thank you for the suggestion,
Strangely enough, the route requires all but a minor detour and timing wise, it'll be bang on perfect for a mid-morning coffee break and to siphon off them ageing bladders. Your suggested stop is now included as a waypoint 16.
I have set the departure time to be at 09:30am, with fuel stop and breakfast at Chipping Norton. It should be a good place for everyone to refuel, and for those attending only for a day, a perfect meeting spot.
The route has plenty of places to stop at for views, drinks, lunch (in Broadway) with plenty of eateries and budgets to choose from.
Please see/download the route bellow. Anybody who's running MRA app, should be able to take the lead on this hideout, Equally, I am happy to lead, should I be attending (possibly with wifey).
