Autumn mini gathering - Cotswolds - 'The Ding' - 19/21 September

Gotta pull out of this unfortunately.
Been offered a late notice availability at a more pressing engagement....!
Shame, but look forward to something similar, somewhere, sometime!

I’ve just booked the pub/campsite.

I’m travelling down Thursday to stay with a friend in Surrey, and yeah I know that’s miles past Hook Norton from the North but he’s got a R90s that I’ve never seen and will hopefully get a ride on it too.

I expect to be on my Stelvio 12. See you all there Friday pm.

Good to catch up with you today at the Range Paul.

Just confirming that, assuming I’ve not missed anything important that Mrs Toddy needs me to do, I will be joining you for a spot of camping and beer at the weekend in the Cotswolds.

Will check tonight and then get everything booked. (y)

Hi all - I will reserve a 6 person table for Friday night - for myself, Don, Austin, Ponch and potentially 2 more.

It's usually easier to get a reservation in, then amend it, than make a last minute reservation. So, please let me know if you're keen for a Friday night pub meal, c. 7:30pm.

Cheers, P

Saturday…..pub….yes please.

I’ll sort myself out for food on Friday, unless I’m being rude and everyone else is eating at the pub.

Hi @The Other PaulG and co.

Seeing as I was never up for camping (work/life commitments) it was only ever going to be a day trip to meet up with folk and head out for a ride.

Unfortunately, and I do not wish to put a dampener* on the event…
I will be straight up with my excuses, one being this.

I can’t be bothered to get up early on a Saturday morning, then ride to Cotswolds 1.5-2 hours away, not to spend a day riding in some more rain, then ride another 1.5-2h back home in same conditions. Unless something drastically changes overnight, (it’ll be a big surprise if it does) then I might just might be able to sneak out.

Reason 2. SWMBO been cracking her whip, I’ve chores to get done at home. Some of these have been waiting since Easter bank holiday 😬.

So there you have it. If I do not get to sneak out in sunshine, then those of you who are attending the event, do enjoy it. Keep the rubber side down and go steady.

Hi all - Don and I will be travelling up together, arriving c. 6:30pm.

Looking forward to a good catch up, and some nice roads on Saturday (y)

I shall be leaving much earlier so that I can choose a prime spot, get my tent up, make a crap job of putting up my tarp, then discover I have pitched too close to the railway/bogs/children’s play area/pikeys etc. (delete as appropriate) - I will then give up and go for a Guinness.

See you later chaps :beerjug:

What time will you be heading off on Saturday morning? I’m still game for a ride even if it is wet!

Fabbo, see you there. I'll also be butchering my tarpage but as long as we keep the secrets within the dingers....
