OK folks. I've seen loads of good advice on wiring diagrams, light bars, Hella's, PIAAs, HIDs etc. What I'm still not clear on and would really like to know....how do I get a decent spread of light on main beam?
The small lights I've seen in some of the pics look great but do they give a good spread? Are fogs suitable to supplement main beam?
Please help me out before I guess wrong one night and end up doing some moonlit off roading.

Cheers Jim

Fog lights = wide flat beam pattern - ideal to complement dipped beam.

Spot/driving lights = pencil/narrow beam - ideal to complement main beam.

As Mike O says, and I think he has both, the fogs give a good flat topped beam to take over from the crap dipped headlight and the Spots/ driving give a long range beam to take over the crap mian beam, see " driving lights " thread and fit both, if you have an ABS bike it has a 780w alternator, more than ample to run main, dipped, fog and driving all together.
