Aux Power Sockets

Gazza,

I really tried to find the socket ("beak socket") you were talking about, I can't find it.
According to the booklet which came with my 1200 GS it should be clearly visible - although they're talking about a "socket for optional accessories" (=my translation). Is that something cryptical which means that I can install one myself but that it isn't there actually?
Does (did) anybody have the same problem?

Sorry to say can't really help. Mine was exactly where the dealer said " under the tank at the front ". Do not use the one under the left hand side of the tank ( fairly big black 6 pin socket ) think this has something to do with the alarm circuit. If you intend to run heated jackets I use the optimate hard wired socket. Maplins sell the male part to these sockets £1.35p. Fitted one to the memsahibs heated jacket, this leaves the aux sockets free and ensures you don't overload this circuit. You can then plug in your jacket into the aux socket.
