Hi all
I will shortly be receiving a set of auxiliary led lights to mount to my 2010 F650GS. I was wondering if anyone had the dimensions for fabricating a light plate to mount them on.
The commercial ones look awfully expensive for what they are.
Happy new year,

Best regards volcane

I've knocked up a couple of Aux light mounting brackets.

I made a carboard template when making the first one, using the front beak mounting points as my starting point.
From there I just guessed how much rise I needed (for the F8GS, where the indicators are mounted low down, or drop when making one for the F658GS).
I added to that the length of the leg needed to safely mount the aux light. All this done with card.
I then mounted it onto the bike, with the beak fitted under the card, and bent then creased the card into the shape I wanted.
Once I was happy with the card template, I used it to shape the alloy plate I have laying about the garage (old bashed and dented road signs ;)).
