Average age of WB owners

Ok, I'm 71 but before you write me off I've had loads of on and off road bike experience on many brands in a lifetime of riding so feel entitled to ride the best bike that is currently available from any manufacturer - THE 2013 GS.

(Apart from the GS, I currently also ride a '06 Ducati 999S, an enduro Honda XR and a BSA Rocket Gold Star)
 
Up to post 33 results are:

Number of samples = 30

Mean = 53.5
Median = 53
Mode = 57

A little surprising how old we all are, I was expecting it to be lower than this to be honest.

I wonder how this compares with the 1150, it is always possible that they are all so old that they can't use computers, so we will never know :D

Seriously though if 'adventure bikes' are the only growing part of the market and the mean age of the buyers is going up and up then it doesn't bode well for the future of motorcycle manufacture.

Perhaps these statistics are badly skewed, perhaps there are loads of younger Wasser Boxer riders out there that never use this site???

There are.:rob Over on the ADV forum, there are quite a few in their 20's and 30's taking delivery.:beerjug: And you'd be surprised how many GS riders have never heard of this forum (or that's what they say:P)

I kind of thought the Merkins were younger than us - maybe it's just a UK thing where the GS is seen as an old man's bike? and the rest of the world is more enlightened.
