Awesome Riding Gear you did not know about!

Suggest you acquire the services of a good photographer and some decently shaped models. Not that there's anything wrong with using odd shaped models as most people on here are very oddly shaped, but I don't think you're giving your product the chance it deserves.

You should be able to get a good photographer for very good rates to sort some nice product images and model shots out for you.

Waterproof?

Hey Ghazi
We ain't Texas, this is England . What you may not know is we only get one day of sunshine each year and the rest is raining with an average daily temp of 18 deg C.
By your own admission it seems that your apparel are not the most watertight garments on the market.
Will you be making an English version?

Hi teizms, what's your view on using eVent as your breathable membrane? The makers claim its more breathable than gore tex?

How come people get lambasted for posting adverts in the "For Sale" section without prices and yet here we are with "blatant advertising" in the vendors section (that's against the vendor's section rules http://www.ukgser.com/forums/showthread.php?t=55711) and the hint hasn't dropped yet.

Maybe it's because teizms has only joined the forum for cheap advertising and hasn't got the handle on the good old British subtlety, but we do understand the concept of freeloading over here and generally call it "Taking the P***"

Gotta agree with that...what's happening here is against the rules.

Sooner or later someone on here is going to say that it's bad protocol to advertise on this site without being a subscribed iuser :rob
So there you are, I've said it :D

Edit.. there you go.. beaten to it

You are right he should pay his subs BUT I for one am grateful that I now know about this company. Their Lombard suit looks really good, comes with thermal and waterproof liners and all armour and costs $449 delivered to UK. At current rates that about £285 all in. I might well buy one and if I do I know I will have saved £100's over what I probably would have spent elsewhere in the UK. I know it's free advertising but it's also a good deal for some of us. Life is a two way street.

Hi,
Looks like decent stuff. What would you charge for shipping a Lombard one peice suit to England? Tried to find out on your site but it appears I have to go through the purchasing process to find out.
Regards
Mark

just $50 so approx 32 gbp

Just to clarify, this is what i read in the rules before before posting:

"The main purpose of this area of the site is to ‘bring to light’ what would otherwise be unknown products of utter genius and to reveal them to UKGSers.

The Vendors Forum welcomes helpful, intelligent, insightful submissions from vendors who want to update or introduce their products to us.

You do not necessarily need to Subscribe to post in this section but it is usually looked more favourably on by other site members if you do."

Since there is possibility of interest, i have gone ahead an actually subscribed. We made pretty decent donations to ADVRider in the past - so we always appreciate every forum where the users have supported us.

i understand - that is why we are offering the option of adding a removable waterproof layer to any suit that does not come with a liner.

it is very easy for us to adapt to your requirements as well. please feel to contribute ideas on what you want to see. if you want, we can give you the option of the built-in (non removable) liners as well - you just have to tell us what you guys want :rob

though, to be very honest up front - i am not going to put a 100% waterproof tag on anything.

Hi teizms, what's your view on using eVent as your breathable membrane? The makers claim its more breathable than gore tex?

yes we have looked into eVent (as well as cChange) but have decided against using any of these currently because of the cost & demand. if enough folks ask for it, we can offer it.

Hi Teizms - we're both quoting from the same post and it does say that one person can view it as informing and another can regard it as blatant advertising. Anyways, thanks for subscribing, it does look like decent kit and I wish you all the best :beerjug:

Hi Teizms,
Is there anywhere I can see the various suits it all the different colour options? For example the Lombard in HiViz Yellow. It would be of help to folk like me who are interested but would like to see first a picture of what they are considering ordering.
Cheers
Mark

So if the vendor is willing to falsify the prices on the shipping documents to avoid import duty ....what other corners are being cut to get this product into Europe. Does it have any genuine CE certification marking on this safety equipment? AFAIK American safety certification is not compliant with European standards.

At best, the buyer risks having all the products seized and destroyed at worst some poor sucker may find out why it isn't CE marked when they try using it in anger....:bluesn2s

actually - it is upon the customer request that we can declare the package as how they like. it is the customer who owes the import duties and can request the package to be labelled in a particular way.

secondly, all the armor we use is CE approved with appropriate labels and certification on the armor pieces. Additionally, for our high-end suits we use armor from Sas-Tec (imported from Germany) and you can pull up all the CE data directly from their site as well.
