Make yourself a cuppa, and use the excellent search facility on this site, it will tell you all you want to know :thumb

020's :thumb (for me :o )

Shep :bounce1

I've got them fitted. Done a thousand miles. Much better grip than the D607's that were the OE equipment. ( I only ride on the road ) Also I feel they allow the bike to turn in a little quicker. Still looking for the manufacturers reccomended tyre pressures. Running 34 front and 39 rear, ie half way between BMW 32-36 and 36-42 as per most bikes on 020's. Any info re pressures wellcomed.

No, but the Pilot Roads are quite good, and were rated better in the wet by Motorad mag (if that means anything).

I`ve decked my engine bars out with the Pilots fitted so no worries about grip in the dry with those :thumb confident in the wet too :thumb

Same as any other tyre you can fit to the GS - 32/36 solo or 36/42 fully loaded. Bridgestone only quote fully-loaded pressures on their website, presumably for liability reasons.

I run my 020's at 33/40 two-up with no luggage but that's just personal preference based my and my pillion's lighter than average weight.

Hummmn Michelin eh?

Thats brill info, thanks chaps. I didnt realise Pilots were avaialable...! I liked them on the 1100s so maybe I'll try them next.... If I buy Jap tyres my mate'll be nagging me to get a whole bike made in the land of the rising pun!
I'll do some price surfing now...

Hmmmm, I quite like the Dunlop D607s. That said, the current set will soon be due for replacement and I have had a couple twitches from the back tyre of late. But they’ve been absolutely solid in some seriously bad weather. :thumb

I had 020s on my last bike. They were very good. Think I’ll go for Tourances next time (or maybe some TKC80s :D )!

Nah that's an old photo of when I visted Bakewell in the company of MrIFan, who sensibly whipped out his camera instead of rushing into the water to help :D
