B&B or Hotel 1-2 h from Santander towards Picos! Any advice?

I have sent you a message but

I am on that ferry with a couple of mates so if you keep your eyes peeled for a Black Ducati Streetfighter a KTM 1290 SDR and a BMW XR ....

We are heading to the parador at Fuente De which is more than a couple of hours as we take the nice roads but you are welcome to Tag along if it helps and you wish to - and stop where you like or book the same hotel ( if they have capacity) as it is quite nice
From there we are meandering down into Portugal via the PArador at Cangas de Narcea and again again you are welcome to tag on or not its up to you

As for the ferry at Plymouth as long as you get there before the latest time to check in its fine as you will be waiting around any way as boarding can often be a painful process as bikes dont get much in the way of priority on that route

As for cabin if you have booked one then its all yours and at worst i can see you in the bar where i will allow you to by me a beer
And replied to,,thanks Rick, will keep my eyes out for you….

Two hours from Santander, in the general direction of the Picos, will bring you to the excellently named, Póo de Cabrales. This literally translates as ‘Shite hole of the Cabrales’, but don’t let that put you off. It has the hotel Principado de Europa close by, which gets top marks from a bikermate:

Motorcycle Friendly
I'll keep this short - father and sons very very friendly (son speaks good English) . Price superb with lovely breakfast included. Views are lovely. Links to region excellent. Rooms very clean and well presented. Put our motorbikes into their garage (underground bar) and kept plying us with bar snacks. Best value/quality trade off I have found so far.

Hands-on, real life experience, from a fellow biker. What more can one ask for?

PS I may well have made a part of that up.

Never managed to get that place booked somehow

MAybe next time i will try and book earlier
Oso is a very pleasant hotel and we managed to book it for our second Picos tour a number of years ago. Stayed at Fuente de the year before really enjoyed that too.
Initially the group felt that the necessity of riding the same road to and from Fuente was going to be a pain but quite the opposite, its a great stretch of road that 'gets your eye in' each morning. In fact a couple of us decided to forego the Oso breakfast and to blast up to Fuente one morning, simply to enjoy the road.

Have a great time Albatross, if you head towards the Pyrenees, check out Monasterio del Leyre at Yesa, a little east of Pamplona and a great start for the N240 etc
