I stay in Ullapool a few times a year, and have found a very nice B&B.

Riverside Hotel, Quay street, Ullapool. Tel 01854 612239.

The owner Charlie is a decent bloke and I have always felt welcome.

The Youth Hostel in Ullapool is fine and handy. And cheap.

Also the Ceilidh Place in Ullapool. Bloody excellent food - their Cullen Skink is something worth travelling all the way up there for, and the lobster.....ooohhh.

I'll second the Riverside. Used it for years, and as already said Charlie is a great bloke. A few doors down is the Westlea B&B. Used it as well and thought it was great. It has since changed hands, but I was talking to a mate who used it very recently and still rated it as one of the best.
