This week whilst trying to order a part that cost all of 50 pence Gbp , I was told that they would not accecpt payment by credit card over the phone.Sorry sir you will have to trundle all the way to Belfast {75 mls} and present your credit card in person.
Am i missing something or is it not the point of a credit card to make transaction,s like this possible?.

May not be the fault of the garage of they can't accept the payment for the part.. I have a friend who works in a big bank in Belfast. She said they're starting to introduce a new securty feature where you have to give your thumb print along with your signiture..
A few shops in Belfast are using it already as an "added security measure to prevent fraud"..

I'm sure some people in Government offices would love to have everybodys Credit card details, Signiture and a thumbprint on one handy piece pf paper!!...

Anyway, I had to order a spoke. Call Maxwell Motors in Blackrock, Dublin.

They didn't have it in stock, but took my Card details and posted it to me.. Didn't even charge postage and called to say it's on the way.

Unfortunately tehy gave me a front spoke instead of back, so they just gave me the new one Free of charge

Civil, if you can't get it from Maxwell's, pm me with details of the part and I could buy it and post it up to you. Going to be away next week, but could do it when I get back
