I have noticed that the back mudguard seems to throw crud forward and cover the back of my boots/legs. Can anyone tell me what other purpose this mudguard serves? Would a hugger be a better deal and if so would you fit the hugger with the mudguard or remove the mudguard?
Also, my R1150R had no mudguard or hugger and seemed to keep me fairly clean. Anyone run their bike with nothing over the rear wheel?
(sorry about all the questions - but I always seem to be riding in the rain)

Serves no purpose remove the little fecker:aidan

I agree, but it`s not the bit at the back that covers you its the spray directed off the shock cover right onto your leg thats the culprit :thumb2

I removed that too once my Motorrad Concepts Hugger went on. Easier to clean the shocker too.
