Just about to scream eruka! after liberating the bike from the garage after
the removal of the scaffolding and fitting a new battery. Bike started first time!, putting the tank back in position after doing the battery it slipped and broke the Q/D petrol connector on the balance pipe!AGHHHHH.; so, who sells metal ones?, I know it's been on here before but a bit of guidence will assist as Motor works wil now be shut along with other sources. So, any assistance appreciated.
Dave GS.

BMW now make the male section of Q/D's in metal. But i'm not sure if the part you want (the ADV crossover/link pipe male section) is also made in metal.

Try a good car spares shop, they'll have something.

Thanks for the contact just had a look $110 dollars for a complete set for an adventure tank sound quite a good price and all in brass! just the job will be getting some I think.
Many thanks,

Dave....try a hydraulics specialist.....the sort who do repairs to plant machinery.

There's one on pretty much every big industrial estate, and even if they don't keep them in stock, most will have them in one of their catalogues...a quick browse through on their front desk and job done.
Most of them get stock in the next day if ordered, as plant repairs are time critical.

Just remember there are 2 different sizes. The connector pipe for the adventure is smaller than the other 2 normal ones I think. I'm sure you could get the connectors in the UK - the elbow one for the adventure might be a bit more tricky though.

Mine are stainless though, not brass. They're the only shiny bit on the bike:eek:
