Friend just bough 1100GS 1995, he has KAT but i don't see any lambda sensor as mine has. He has problems starting the bike in warm - only way is pumping starter some time and giving huge grip! Though from cold it goes running easyly with choke on.

What's the matter? If he has no lambda, then it can't be dirty or malfunctioning sensor?

Does every GS has temperature sensor in air box, could be it?

Or injection system sucks somehow?

Sparks seem to be as new.

Thanks in advance, Margus

same type as mine.

check the CO pot - search for adjustments.

Sounds too rich - check the air filter isn't blocked and also throttle body setting ( 0.380mV at closed )

balance using home made manometer.

set cable adjusters

brass idle screws 2 turns out to start with - plus adjustment

check thumb idle control is shutting down correctly.

what colour are the plugs at idle and mid range. ?

I did sycned his throttle bodyes, they were OK.

Sparks looked well even after being on idle and mid (needed about 6K rpms for starting).

How can i measure the TPS voltage? Any internet manuals on it, it must be done while running or just igintion on?

CO pot - it's the Chip settings then under the seat with different plugs (KAT skip etc) you mean? Or something elsewhere?

Margus
