I have a Beowulf 'stubby' exhaust(360mm) fitted. Is there any possibility of engine damage with the baffle removed? I was warned by a mechanic that there could be an issue!

The bike is stock apart from the can... No plans to do anything else at present; So, prolonged use at higher speeds(80-90mph) can't do any harm? The mech' said that you should limit your revs unless you re map the fuelling?? I thought the Lambda sensor did that?

I think the only evidence presented of a 12GS leaning out was with full airbox/filter mod + de-cat/headers + can. You should be ok baffle in or out. I did however find that baffle in gives the best ride if you've also got Remus headers

Cheers guys...
I went for the short Beowulf exhaust because the longer Leo Vince didn't really sound much different even with the baffle out; the Beowulf sounds good even with the baffle in; just more popping(on down changing) with the baffle out... I like it!!!:)

My 1200GSA has a full BOS system and runs a lot better with the baffle in.
