When I took delivery of my GSA1200 last year,I picked it up with the Akrapovic can in situ, but with the baffle out.
I never fitted the baffle,as it sounded great, not too loud and went just fine.
A few months ago I fitted a new Remus Y-piece.
The bike felt even quicker but was now alot louder, with a much deeper, boomy tone.
It is bordering on being too loud (I must be getting old),and as I'm off on a 2000 mile trip back to Germany in a few weeks,I decided to stick the baffle back in this afternoon, and see what it was like.
Boy,what a difference.
It now sounds similar to how it did with the baffle removed before I fitted the Y-piece,and it seems to be quicker, which I can't fathom out, especially considering the shape of the baffle and how it must affect the passage of the exhaust gases.
Has anybody dynoed their bikes with a similar set up to mine ?
