Baglux Bags

I'm about to take delivery of a new GS and am thinking about tank bags. I already have a Baglux cover and the large Sherpa bag which sit well on my K12RS (classic) but wonder how well such a large tank bag as the Baglux Sherpa will sit on a GS tank. On the K12RS it sits pretty much horizontal but the GS tank , especially the new '08 one, has such a steep downward slant that I can't help thinking it will result in a fully loaded sherpa sticking up into my chest.Baglux have said they are coming out with a cover for the new '08 GS this March.

Anybody got any advice

Have had no personal experience of teh sherpa bag but do have one of the small tank bags and IMHO you could have issues with a bag of that size.

Not sure your cover will fit your new bike, in fact fairly sure it wont. I've swapped e-mails with baglux a few times in the last few weeks including a few days ago and as yet no tank cover for new '08 GS is available.

HI There,

I've got the Design bag - It's 1 inch shorter and 1 inch wider than your bag.
It's a good fit (comfy with no pessure on my stomach) though it does leave the fuel cap a quater uncovered.
On flatter tanks this would be totally covered. (Just asthetics - which I can live with)
I think it is possible that you might have a problem with the bag sticking into you.
(Depends on how big the veranda over the toy shop is )

If you're not desparate to swap bags just wait until you get the baglux cover ant try it for size. -
Unless you're thinking of moving to another tank bag system altogether.

Yer I been emailing Baglux and they say a new cover is out v. soon for the '08 12GS . If I have to buy another Baglux tank bag 'cause my Sherpa is too big for the GS then I might it defeats the point for me. My missus needs a big tank bag I probably have to go for the large BMW one, altenatively I could change the missus !!
