I have a spare front and rear seat that I want Baglux to do their magic with for for my 1200 Adventure. It's mainly for pillion comfort as I find my seat comfortable but should I go for the gel insert or not?

Welcome to the collective. :thumb

The gel insert is designed to eliminate / reduce vibrations through the seat, I had gel inserts fitted when my seat was remodeled by Melvyn Hunter over at Custom Seats and all I can say it was very comfortable ineed.

Can't categorically say it was due to the gel inserts but if I was doing it again I'd be fitting them. :aidan

Good luck with whatever you decide.

PS Pop over and say hallo in the "I'm new here" section.

Try Tony Archer at Huddersfield. The local BMW dealers use him, and Baglux have also asked him to do seats for them (which he declined). He is excellent and can do anything to your spec. at a fraction of the cost.
If you are interested I can "show you mine".

I have a baglux seat on my 1200GS, with gell in both parts, and after 20k miles and 3 years its as good as new. The comfort is superb, with my daily record of 800 miles (Nice, France, to our local curry house in Surrey in 12 hours, 2 up, full luggage) totally down to the seat. Before the baglux we struggled to do 400 miles, and had a sore rse for days.

GET THE GELL.
