Hello all,

At the moment considering buying a Baglux harness (Yellow) and Shibuya bag (Grey) from Nippy Normans. Currently have the BWM GS bag, but have the NAVII Satnav on the bars and it doesn't work brilliantly. Just wondered if anyone has experience of this combination and a couple of questions:

Anyone know if the Shibuya bag works OK with the NAVII on the handlebars?
Any thoughts as to the quality of it?
Is there any waterproofing the Shibuya bag?
Any other comments to the baglux harness.. and also does the yellow match well?

Thanks all..

I bought one at the NEC and the match and fit are really good. I don't think that you will be disappointed.

Regards

Simon

have similar setup apart from NavII which is mounted above instruments, I do have NN bar risers thus bring the bars towards me and have no problems at all. As to colour match see attached pic.

Got the Nav 2 on the handlebars and the Baglux tankbag, no problems whatsoever. I'm not sure if it is the 'shibuya' as it is quite old but is the same physical size bagster bag. I've never tried to use the Nav2 with the bag fully expanded though.

Thanks Folks, really useful info, will go ahead tomorrow.. :thumb

If the reason for the purchase is because of the visability with the Nav II fitted on the handlebar clamps and the BM tank bag, why not consider getting one of Mottorad Concepts excellent mounts to move the Nav above the clocks?

Just a thought. :D

Hey Thunder, did indeed look at moving the nav, but just preferred it on the handlebars. Cheers for the thought though.. ;)

The Baglux tank cover on my bike is a beautiful fit - much better than it was on my Honda - and the colours match well too.

Dont use it with the map case any longer since I got GPS. The topbox (which also is excellent) is the dumping ground for what I would have carried in a tank bag.

Given my time again and with a GPS, I wouldnt bother with the tank cover

Hi!

I'm 6'4 and wear bulky gear atop a small beer-induced bulge, so when I bought the shibuya bag and GS harness, I was disappointed to find that the bag projected too far down the tank to be comfy; I kept nudging up against it.

At the recommendation of Baglux I swapped it for the smaller CityBag and things got a lot nicer.

The yellow is an excellent match to the bike colour (which is of course the fastest). The yellow colour of the Shibuya is not the same though so if you are going for the all yellow look, check one out first as you may be disappointed.

Alec is also right. For the more portly among us, the Bag tends to interfere with the positioning of one's "six pack" and the retailers should point this out to you when you buy (at leaste bikerjohnny did when I bought mine).

.. interesting, will check that out. Thanks guys :thumb
