I'm about to buy a Bagster tank cover for my 1150GSA.

Which tankbags have you found to be best for the GS models?

Am looking for a mid-size one with a usable map pocket.

Have heard complaints that some of them sit quite low (i.e. too far towards the rider).

Hi, I have two Baglux bags, one small and one large.

The small one is not expandable, only has a side pocket not a rear pocket, and sits too far back it ideally needs to be about 2" further forwards. It's more of a 'daybag' than a proper touring bag. The map pocket is also too small.

The large one is an old expandable bag with a rear pocket and sits just right, it is bigger yet sits in exactly the right place. I think it may be a 'Shibuya' bag like the current 'Alpha' model (just had a new zipper put in it, glad to have it back). The map pocket is just right, the only gripe is that the underside of the bag doesn't really suit the shape of the GS fuel tank and storage space is wasted.

I believe that Baglux/Bagster make a tankbag now specifically for the Adventure Trailie market and if buying new, thats the bag I would look most closely at before purchasing. Looking at the website I think it is the 'Dzeta' model.

My local Hein Gericke store is a Baglux reseller, maybe your local branch has them?

I use a media on my 1150GSA and I find it very good - clearly designed by a biker with loads of good features.

Baglux are a bit pricey but I've never had any trouble with them and they last well.

The Media does not interfer with bars/riding
