Does anyone have a baglux on their GS? Can anyone tell me what the largest bag you can fit on it without fowling the handlebars. I already have a Tektra and would have to use that to make it cost effective, failing that I'd have to buy a genuine BMW bag.

Roppongi bag, according to Baglux, is the one to fit on a 1200gs (unless they've superseded that with another) 'phone Baglux in Wales on 01745 823333 or email [email protected]

I think the main problem on the standard GS is the bag fouling the rider, rather than the bars. I can certainly recommend the city bag for the GS, as you wouldn't know its there, but it is one of the smaller bags. Normally enough though to carry all the important bits you don't want to put in the other luggage.

I fitted the bag suggested for the 12GS on the Nippy Norman's website. Not sure what the actual model is called though.

The bars do touch the front of the bag on full lock and the rear is close to the rider. It hasn't caused me any problems.

Wouldn't want to go any bigger though...

Hope this helps.

I've had both the Shibuya and the Roppongi bag.
The Rip bag is 2-3 ltr bigger than the Shib but it achieves this by
extending further back and while neither I nor the missus is what
you'd call fat (or slim), it does start to become intimate
So' look down at ya beer repository, be 'onest and buy accordingly:beer:

I have the largest bag they USED TO do.
It's a two tier number and that's ok.

Any chance of a picture of the Alpha bag on the GS?. I've only seen Baglux bags on an 1150 (which persuaded me to buy BMW's own) but I know of an Alpha in the right colour that's doing nothing at the moment so I'd only need the harness to fit it.

Here you go..

Never had a problem with it fouling the controls etc. I can pop out to the garage and take some closer pictures if that would help.
Rob.
