Does anybody KNOW if this bag will fit the 1200GS? This particular bag , the Engage XL is a discontinued product.

I used one for a trip to Spain and I thought it was ok handy for paying tolls keeping your bits and pieces in it got rained on and never leaked as I couldn't be bothered to put the waterproof cover on quite sturdy and although it didn't fit the contour of the tank perfectly I knew it wouldn't scratch the tank, bought it nearly new for a song so can't complain.

Now what's the head slap for? I couldn't make out if you were praising me (I doubt it) or the bag.

In my experience the map pocket condensates far too easily and far too much, resulting in 2 knackered maps. It is a huge inconvenience when touring/fuel stops. Condensation was the main issue. Even my old entry level Oxford magnetic doesn't condensate.

Ok, there's a misunderstanding going on here. My iPhone is having another hissy fit with how it displays this forum and your was replaced with , hence my confusion.

I am not sure why the iPhone has these fits but it seems worse lately and seems to have coincided with me having a new reduced tariff.

Edit: Checking my iPhone again the has changed or changed back to . , unless you edited your post earlier?

It does if you refit the tank ring on the bag further back...

No it doesn't. and if you do that, the bag hits the handlebars..

i must have my handlebars in a different place then...cuz there's no hitting going on!

have they moved the position of the tank cap since '09?

i use both my engage (now sold) and 'gs' bags from sw motech and with the plate in the right place they both follow the contour of the tank and don't foul the bars.
