bags rubbing paintwork off

I have adapted some cycle panniers ( 14 99 from Lidl ) to fit on the sides of the petrol tank on me 1150. I am conserned with the possible rubbing of the bag material on the paintwork, has anyone any reccomodations as to some stuff besides gaffer tape that will stop this happening

A few friends use that perforated sponge non slip matting when using soft panniers about £1.50 a roll from home bargains
or your welcome to call round and try some i have here already

I use Frisk Film for any paintwork protection duties,clear self adhesive low tack film
used in airbrushing,you should be able to get it from any good art shop, it works well and peels off easily.

Wonderweb will be your friend. Non adhesive and totally non slip. It's cheap as chips too!
