I was searching the For Sale side of the forum and came across a tank bag cover to fit my 2008 R1200GS. It was an old ad and I thought it would have been sold. No still available and very prompt service from seller. Thanks Martin

Her are some photos of it:

I like it too, infact I've just showed her indoors. She says it looks very capacious.

iT FITS THE TANK LIKE A GLOVE

Very surprised with the cover, fits the tank very well..Just need to take the side panels off and one strap is located with the securing screw. The top of the panel pinches the cover to the tank, so you can stretch it.

The only issue I have is that I would have liked the tank bag to follow the curves of the tank more. Will give it a go before looking for a new tank bag, as Bagster do a more shaped version now. That tank does expand even higher....

Nice one Nigel. Looks a treat and will suit your purpose well.
TIP.....
If its a bit taught or stiff then take it off again and warm it up a bit, leave it in the sun. Goes on better then. :thumb

Ahhh...you've got the 'old' design. Baglux replaced all of these FOC, I believe (mine included) because there's nowt holding the front edges down. You'll find that, at speed, the front bits lift like spaniel's ears and pull the rest out from under the side-panel. A couple of straps were added to stop this.

advancedbiker's description of the tank cover, 'Fitting like a glove' may well be apt, then.

It too, sticks out in five places.

Boom-tish!
