BAKERY OFF ROAD RIDE OUT 2010

I'm on an 800GS but hybrid tyres (battlewings) only - not knobbies - but very keen to come. Have done plenty of off road stuff on a small Yamaha in Oz with off road tyres, though, but this would be my first time on the big bike. Would the trail be okay with this set up? Any advice appreciated lads.
Cheers,
Jon.

Jon,

Salisbury plain offers a huge variation in tracks. Some are very muddy and rutted, while others are effectively graded stone tracks, which i think would be ideal if this is your first time out on a big bike.

As mentioned in previous posts, there will be several groups venturing out aimed at catering for different tastes. The novice group will probably be sticking to graded tracks and trails, but there is the option to venture onto the more challenging stuff if you feel brave enough.

If your not running knobblies, then stay away from the mud- unless your a riding god :D, and also watch out for the chalk if it's wet. Apart from that you should have a ball :thumb

May I join you on 28th with my brother [KE500] and Niece please?

Have a good festive season.

Sounds excellent. Will cone along for sure - have mentioned it to some friends do will post again once I know final numbers :) have just bought myself a gas gas pampera and have only taken it off road once so this sounds like the perfect opportunity! Food sounds yummy too :)

Steve - Saw you got this rideout in TBM this month. Are we to expect TBM towers to be in attendance? Looks like it will be epic - hope you have enough doughnuts :augie

looking into getting a PIG and roasting it, and pitching up lunchtime with it so as you have HOT FOOD

its storing the thing, but theres a VERY LARGE FRIDGE outside at the moment

55 kg PIG is the way to go, easyier than PASTIES and SAUSAGE ROLLS
