Hi all back again😂
I understand to set throttle bodies you put 5 mm slack in throttle cable hold revs at 3k and adjust cable to balance
I think I’ve done it as the throttle bodies are balanced at 3k
The only question is the left throttle body you can’t put slack in the cable as it’s all the way in
So I adjusted the right side to balance and my tickover is balanced and just over 1k
So is that it?
Cheers all

As I remember from pre splitter box cables that's about right... I remember still having a wee bit of play on the LH...Half the battle with these is if it feels right and rides right then leave it. The main thing is that the LHS body is snapped shut when closed... I've never balanced with 5mm play, just noticeable play.
I adjusted the tick over on my splitter box version the other day by ear...👍😆 I bought an 11GS years ago that was so "out" it was a pig and I was away from home with it for a trip, so set up the balance and tick over by ear and ran with it for the next year...😆
Airheads were even better...

Check the cable routing mirrors the route shown in the manual. If the cable is pulled through more or tighter bends then it will become "shorter" in terms of adjustment.

That said I had one of these bikes where I had the same problem you're describing. I had to trim the end of one cable sheath to gain some slack. I'm guessing they were afermarket cables or something because the were assembled correctly.

To be fair since I’ve done my bit of fiddling the tickover is 1100 and rock solid and at 3k they’re bang on after adjusting right cable slightly
As for riding it’s sound

A few years ago there were a batch of cables produced with the inner cable too short, meaning you couldn’t get and play/slack in the outer sheath.
The way around it was to put the locking nut under the lug on the throttle body :D
