Any idea how this goes back in? My preload works ofK now I have filled it with oil. Where does the bearing go and is the a spring?!

If it is the spring & ball bearing that fly out when you take the adjuster knob off, then there is a hole on the side of the remote reservoir, The spring goes in that, then a blob of grease holds the ball bearing to the spring and the knob slides over the ball bearing there is a groove in the knob to make this easier. If it is located you can feel the click as you adjust the preload.

Thanks Keith. I've lost the spring! Time to start looking in the parts jar...

Now that you know the spring makes a bid for freedom, next time you take it apart put a plastic bag over the adjuster knob first. DAMHIK

The seat lock whatsit is fine! I've given up trying to repair it. Milliput didn't work. I tried a few things In fact. All I needed to know was "UNLOCK THE LOCK BEFORE SNAPPING THE SEAT DOWN GENTLY"!
