They keep pulling me back. Less than a year since I sold my last one I'm hankering after another.

Quite specific this time.

Either a K5 anniversary, or a K6.

Anyone got something tucked away?

Cheers.

I kept looking at your old one,it was a cracking looking machine,I will have one one day!

Lot of bike for the money.

Engine is legendary.

The fact that they can stick a turbo on one with no other mods and double the horsepower to 200 with nothing else is a testament to them.

I’ve had many mk1’s and a few mk2’s.

Fancy a k6 which was a bit of a bastard mix of 1200 engine with 1250 chassis.

Hated the 1250 I bought from Alistair on here ten years ago. Felt too smooth and civil.

This GSA1250 was on acid. It's Suzuki's street fight from the factory.I had a power commander fitted and changed the Yoshi to a Akrapovic(so I could get the baffles out)

The thing was a missile. The down side was it was so cramped.Suzuki had done something to the ergonomics on it,ok for a small fella, fecked at 6"3.
Still,it never stopped me riding from Caen down to the Algarve on it one Christmas.

Was a hell of a trip on me own:p

Find the MK1 much better riding position(and I've had all the models)I'd get another in a heart beat.

As an aside,do you post on the Bandit forum.

Bought a MK2 from on here some years back, but as a non runner. Never could find the issue, carbs cleaned, new petrol tap, new plugs leads and coils and it would run lovely till hot then bog down and barely rev. Gave up on it, sold it on to a gardener chap just when we were doing our extension and found a use for the funds. He got a mechanic to stick a SH set of carbs on it and it ran spot on……. Anyway, last spring I saw another for sale so bought it and ran it most of last year. Really enjoyed it, but with the purchase of another Tenere it’s got to go. So once we’re home from our current Easter trip it’ll be put up for sale. Too old and cheap for the OP though.

Interesting bandit snippet,
Mk 1 bandit on standard gearing was geared for 170mph,
New sprockets geared for @150,
Small wiring mod,
Stage 3 dyno jet kit .
Better exhaust
Would have 3rd gear wheelies off the throttle,
150 mph top end.
No wonder they were such a hooligan bike.
😆😎😆😎😆😎🤭

Another just cos,
The mk 1 bandit and 1100 zephyr were of the same age, I had both,
Couldn’t work out why the Kawasaki wouldn’t lift the front wheel ,
On paper both similar power and torque.
Then it twigged, the bandit made peak torque at around 3k,
Kwak was around 5
No wonder the bandit just wanted to climb round its back wheel
