Pardon me for being ignorant here (why just here I hear you ask)? What on earth, or the bike, does a "bar pad" do? :nenau
Is it an aesthetically pleasing peice of apparral?:ymca
Is it a wind deflector?
Does it deflect the light shining reflection from the control panel off the bar, and thus prevents blinding during night rides?
What does the bar pad actually do?
And of course if you give me a reasonable answer I might have to rush out and purchase one also:rolleyes:, because it will become a fundamental part of the good gser rider accessories!:bounce1

Rev......it`s something inherited from Motocross.

Originally,it was simply used as something soft to absorb the impact if you crashed.....although fairly small in diameter,a handlebar brace is still sufficient to give you some nasty bruising,or even crack a few ribs,in an 'off'.

Naturally,it soon became somewhere new to advertise the bike`s make, the handlebar make,or to simply 'bling up' the bike with a snazzy cover.
