bar risers and footpegs

After fitting the adventure seat on my 1150 gs the riding position has altered slightly, as the seat is a bit higher than the standard seat. I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE HAS FITTED THE 25MM BAR RISERS AND THE 30MM LOWER FOOT PEGS CAN TELL ME . 1, IF THEY THINK THIS IS A GOOD MOD. AND 2,WHAT THEY LIKE OR DONT LIKE ABOUT IT. Also is there enough play in the cables and brake lines for the 25mm risers?

If it's the touratech ones then I have fitted them to my 1150gsa - the footpegs are great - much easier to stand up on and I'm fairly tall so it helped with the knee angle as well to make it a lot more comfortable.
I'd say you're best off to get the adjustable gear lever as well because the wider pegs leave very little room to get your foot under the lever otherwise - there's a bit of a discount for getting the two together.
I have the setback risers - fit no problem with plenty of slack left in all cables - they didn't really make much of a difference to be honest though - for me at least.

I have 25mm risers on my 1150 Falcoron. The cables and hoses will allow them alright.

I also have a set of Migsel 30mm lower footrests and they are a great job too. Good value as well at around £50.

You will definitely notice a big difference in comfort on the bike with these two simple mods IMO.

I wouldn't entertain lowering the pegs by 30mm on a standard 1150GS. I would expect to find that they ground out far too easily on the road.

Of course if you've raised the suspension then that's a different story.

How about 35 mm handlebar riser kit by wunderlich for r1100gs?Do you need to change any cable for this mod?

I usually "like to make good progress" and have had no problems with clearance at all Falcoron.

By the time you have the pegs rubbing the road you are bound to be pretty near the limit as far as Tourances go anyway I would have thought.

A faster, better rider than I may well find it to be an issue but us average guys should get away with it alright.

Thought as much, not so much of a riding god myself, but hey i enjoy myself anyway!
Got Conti trail attacks on mine only 5 or 600 miles so far so still bedding in, can get it over better than the trailie type tyres i had on when i bought it. (tourance front and bridgestone back?)
Conti's seem to get over better and quicker. Think ill go with the risers first as the ADV. seat is a little higher than the standard one i took off. We'll see how we go from there.

Maybe if theres a wee run out sometime over the winter, some dry weekend you'll give me a shout. Working most of the time though(in work now getting paid to type this LOL) Love to meet up with some of the guys and get a wee run at the same time.
