Barkbuster Storm handguards.

I have just installed a pair of Barkbuster Storm handguards on my 1250.
Has anyone fitted these as the original handguard support that fits under the mirror mount now seems redundant and in view. I do not want to remove it though as this will drop the mirror height. Am I missing something ?
Will put a picture up tomorrow…

support stay in place and is hold only by small screw on front barkbuster like so below

You can remove the original stay, it’s hollow and there is a washer under it. You only lose the height of a washer, about 3mm.

They can be a little difficult to remove but they do come off.

The washer maybe on top of it rather than under the stay. Cannot remember exactly.

yes but I try that before, does not look so nice rubber boot hanging. :beerjug:
 
I managed to moved the handguard out slightly by removing the OEM metal collar that wasn’t needed, so it now hides the plastic bracket as it should.
Thanks for tips though…
