Bars or protectors?

I've trawled through the threads and adverts and STILL can't decide if I want to fit Hepco and Backer (whatever...) engine bars or some Stanton thingies...

Help!

The good thing about the Stanton option is that it'll cover up the scratches I've just put on the cylinder covers but I think the bars look better.....

Should have put something on as soon as I got the bike, shouldn't I?

The price may be an issue too.....bars much much cheaper than stanton guards.

They are meant to do different jobs and really neither will afford much protection to the engine in anything other than a minor spill.

Bars will give some protection if the bike is moving at very low speed but are intended more for the falling over type senario.

Guards will provide more protection from grinding or puncture type damage (depending on the type).

As I have a pessimistic outlook on life, I have both!
