BaseCamp 3.3.2 question - routing options

When I create a route from scratch - if I open the route properties - I get 5 tabs -no route options

If I import a route - I get 6 tabs - with route Options - where I can set routing preferences specific to that route...
Useful thing indeed...

Any ideas?

But one of the few things I can answer - a novice myself.

Anyway you probably sussed it by now

When you creat a route from scratch, Basecamp will use your default activity profile - probably "Motorcycling".

When you import a route, there is no activity profile associated with that route, so Basecamp assigns a route profile of "None" (or "Customise Route Options" in version 4.0.1).

If you want to do this with a fresh route, simply select "Customise Route Options" in the route properties window.

You can also edit the activity profiles to suit your preferences.
