Basecamp Detour!!

Since downloading Update to base camp, I have been getting some interesting routes suggested.
Example
Birmingham to Florence Shortest route inc Tolls 1076 miles
Avoiding Tolls 2831 miles via Albania
Anyone else had similar?

Do you have motorcycling as your route preference?
Maybe it's taking you the scenic way???

I really don't think basecamp is very good at routing when left to it's own devices. Sure plumb in your waypoints and let it do it's stuff, then get a real map and drag the route to where you'd like to go based on a decent map appreciation.

Tom Tom is the way to go if you just want A to B navigation, far more intuitive and easier to play with
