Bash plate drawing

Anyone ever fabricate their own bash plate for a 650 twin and has a drawing? worth a try :D

I've made up my own bash plate. I got a large piece of cardboard, shoved it onto the bash plate mounting studs (I've got a F8GS that comes with a plastic bash plate as standard). Once on the studs I just bent and taped up the cardboard into the shape/dimensions I wanted the alloy to be, cutting off any excess card in the process, and BINGO, one template.

I believe that a cover, (in the 650/800’s case, a bash plate) for an oil filter is a good thing. Had it in the past where a stone pierced the filter producing a fine spray that covers anything in its path with the oily stuff (brakes and clothes included)! Especially not good when you in the bush a long way from home!
