Well, it took a while, but they are finally finished and we now have stock in the Rugged Roads shop. We've designed and manufactured a bashplate for the R1150GSA (sorry you're going to have to wait a bit longer for the R1150GS as the mounting points are different 
)
Giving heavy duty protection our bashplate is manufactured from 4mm black powdercoated aluminium and we have also fitted a 2.5mm aluminium replaceable skid plate - giving a total of 6.5mm of protection.
There's also a "crud catcher" fitted to reduce the amount of debris getting to the front of the engine and giving weather protection, particularly with the season of 'salt' rapidly approaching.
The bashplate is wider than standard, with welded gussets to provide additional strength and added protection to the exhaust headers.
It will also fit your R1150GSA if you have the BMW OEM crashbars fitted.
