Just trying to work out what my mate and I will need for a really simple bike to bike radio for our trip next week and would appreciate any advice.

After doing some digging around on here, I'm looking at the following for each of us from Intaride:-

XL Standard Harness
Professional PTT button
Integra 1 (single sided) headset
A80 Radio kit
Battery eliminator

Comes out around £160.

Plus I'm guessing that I'll need some kind of adaptor to make the eliminator plug into the GS' power socket?

Would this kind of set-up do the trick at a basic level? I'm not bothered about anything other than bike to bike chat at this point.

Cheers, Ross.

That would work but for the difference in cost I would go for the double sided Integra or a standard headset. I have both and I think I prefer the latter.
My A80 is permanently wired to the bike through a fuse and switch and I have the seperate antenna. It all works really well.

You may well get more coverage in the Bike Communications section. I'll move it over there for you. Toad.
