Looking for some advice please.

I have a Sena SMH 10 bluetooth headset. It works well, connects to my phone and GPS seamlessly and there are no wires or faff to detract from using it.

However I'm off to the USA in the summer and want to be able to communicate with my riding buddies on their PMR radios. Now Sena do the SR10 which is a BT hub but you need the right radio to connect to it. I know this will work but it's expensive.

I've seen BT PMR radios which I'm assuming negate the need for the Sena hub.

Anyone using one? If so do they work effectively? Any other solutions (other than Autocom)?

Thanks

if its just for a one off ride..…id buy the SR10 and correct lead to work with a Kenwood 3301…..when you return you will feel these easy enough on evilbay and get your money back

If its not a one off ..you have purchased some top quality stuff that will work and last on your rides

Having researched further, that's what I'm gonna do. Thanks

I have an SR10 for sale if you are interested, also have a Kenwood radio lead. Only used once perfect working order

So Steve

I have the same set up as you... plus Garmin Zumo 660

How have you set it up?

I haven't yet! The radio is still with the 'Ham radio' guru in North Wales being programmed

My normal setup is iPhone and Zumo on separate pairing to the headset, that way I can listen to music from the phone and use Siri.
I plan to use the SR10 instead of the iPhone pairing, I won't need the phone in the US but if needs be it can be paired with the Zumo.

Will be trying it out on a trip to France at Easter, will let you know how it goes
