It's getting on me nerves now :tosser

I changed the paralever bearing no probs a couple of weeks ago. But despite numerous attempts I cant stop oil from leaking out of the bevel box when going along, I've changed the o'rings, going to change them again, and now have intermittent ABS.

A little oil leak wouldnt normally bother me, but this is over the rear wheel. I've got some newer, slightly thicker o-rings to go in, but if this doesnt work, I'm seriously tempted to run some instant ruber gasket around the inner hole, just a little mind.

I've thought it through, the oil isnt under pressure, it just sloshes around (hence the leak in motion). Any rubber that goes into the box shoudn't cause a problem as it gets mashed by the gears.

Anybody else got any bright ideas?

Well, Tarka hasnt posted, saving meself from meself. And the Kingston Spanner hasnt got involved, so I take it's not a bad idea.

Oh,sorry....I didn`t realise you cared..... :o

I saw it while I was browsing at work ( ahem ),but couldn`t be arsed replying.
:D :D :D

Seriously though,if new gaskets/O rings don`t cure the problem,I`d try some sealant.

Use solvent to remove all oil traces from the jointing faces, and get some proper, real, silicone sealant as sold for fish tank jointing/repairs.
It`s a bit pricy but works....I sealed a CB900F cam cover with it and it was still oiltight after 2,000 miles.

Why thank you very much old chum :thumb

I just needed some reassurance, and they dont come more re-assuring than you. :D
