I am going to pin some dates into my calendar for some rides this year and you are all invited to join me... well not actually all... five at a time :D
This ride is novice capable on a GS with dual purpose tyres (although I ride with TKC80's cos I like them ).
The ride will be cancelled if weather conditions make it unsuitable for safety or trail damage reasons
Legal bit:You may join me by following and it is not a club ride and you ride at your own risks and your own insurance
I must request that you honour the etiquette of The TRF code of Conduct

This ride will start at British National Grid ST 75639 65956 09.30am Morrison's Supermarket Bath

It will be a half day ride,as an easy intro to green laning, ending with lunch at Kemble Airfield cafe

Date provisionally Sunday 20th March if the weather is good

Please put your names down if keen :

Just realised I am still down as living in France- that changed in January and now living in Bath. France may be a bit far to come for the day!

Am gonna be away on holiday with the missus that long weekend, nothing planned yet, but we were thinking of heading west from London.

I'm sure she'll be up for exploring some lanes around Bath, am comfortable greenlaning 2up :thumb2

Cheers.

Sorry Guy, I've been away from my computer:thumb

We will be doing eight BOAT sections, like one of the sections below:

I did this ride in the rain yesterday and it was great splashing fun. We'll debate nearer the time, depending on weather. It is a novice ride, dry and , well slippy when wet :D

Can I make a request that everyone carries a basic toolkit and means of repairing a puncture (not like a guy yesterday). There is a ford (very deep yesterday), which we are NOT going through on this ride , but if you choose to, please bring a plug spanner :D

Hi Grinning Man,

I could run South and meet you for a brew at the Kemble Airfield cafe ;-)

Burtie

Hi Burtie.
I AM wondering if Kemble will go nuts if we arrive with muddy boots.
The ford that you introduced me to, is VERY deep at the moment :D
I'll pm you nearer the time
Paul

Update:
Morrison's not open and Goughie and I fancy breakfast, so Goughie and I are meeting at
Mattys cafe 15 St. Peters Terrace Lower Bristol Road , Bath, BA2 3EH for breakfast at 0900hrs first.

Either way, we'll round everyone up and wont leave without those named, and we have phone numbers:D

Burtieboy is heading towards us and well meet up head on somewhere with him at 11.30ish

This is not a big ride, so have enough fuel for say 50 miles. Seey'all :D

Well done everyone. I really enjoyed today and thank you Burt for the finale

Fantastic day out - thoroughly enjoyable. Appreciate you organising the day! Great pics, next time need to get some of you. How was the video from your "boot camera". Leg's are stiffening up now, never ridden for so long stood up.

Good to meet up with you guys

Keep us posted on any future rides - plus we can organise a bit more going North of Cheltenham, mostly GS friendly ;-) during the summer.

Burt

I dont have any AVI editing abilities, so here is a rough version:

All I need is the bike - coming soon so I look forward to the next one :)

OMG Ross Dean, I have never seen anyone go through that ford so fast... and survive. Will your next bike aquaplane? :D

Burt, I have always enjoyed the trails in your area and that pub yesterday followed by those last two trails were the icing on the cake. I'll p.m. you about an upcoming ride and you can bring your big orange thing :D

Boot camera

Great quality for such a small and simple device. A friend of mine has got the go Pro HD. I might try and use it for the next trip.:)
