Battery and charger

Hi folks,

My battery looks like it is on its way out. I have an Odyssey 535 on an 07 plate 1200gs (fitted by previous owner). 2 questions to the knowledgeable.

1) Is it worth staying waith an odyssey 535?
2) Is the oxford solar battey charger any good?

The bike lives outside under a cover and is never garaged as it is used all year - ice and snow permitting

this is a very subjective matter,some people stick with what they know,some go for cheap and cheerful. Odyssey batteries in my experience are good although slightly over priced & i've never had any problems with them.if you don't mind paying the price just get it.you can search the threads a few folk on here have found what appears to be the same as the stock battery fitted by bmw for half the price.my stock battery lasted 5years,look after it and it will look after you.
don't know about that particular charger/optimiser, i've used an optimate for well over 15 years and never had a problem with it or any of the batteries i've used on it.
