battery charging

okay got bike 02 1150gs has datatool alarm and imoboliser. How much doesthis drain the battery and how often if unused should it go on a charger. How long will battery last few days/week?

i got the same bike with the same alarm set up, ive found that after a week or two although its never failed to start i had tell tale signs like the clock resetting itself to 00.00 so i bought a ring battery tender for less than 20 quid and keep the bike plugged in to this when not in use so far so good seems to do exactly what it says on the tin

I have a 1150GSA 3 years old with datatool alarm,never problem to be honest
I put the battery in charge before I go to ride for 1h and is ok,but if you are to much concerned a bout it ,take the alarm of and bay your self an anty theft disc clamp with alarm for £20-30 and it works just the same and save your battery,look out to the new products.

I think the immobilizer it sun become a think from the past

Doesn't even need to be garaged. My bike lives outside year-round and is permanently attached to an Optimate. Same bike, btw, '02 1150 with Datatool.

Well, I do disconnect it when I ride it

Totally agree

I used to have problems after a week of not using the bike. Not anymore well worth the money.
