Battery drainage, has it been resolved?

I have been experimenting with a new, well 2 actually, Peak Design wireless charging heads. Neither seem to charge my iPhone 13 very well.

In the one in my van, the supplied lead is plugged into one of Peak Design's cigarette socket chargers. It does charge, but iPhone says "Slow Charging" when woken. I've not had a chance to try it with MRA yet.

I have had MRA on my Yamaha MT09 where it is connected to the OEM USB-C point under the seat. I think it is a 2A charger like the PD unit. It loses charge when used with MRA.

Reading the above it looks like I need 2 of the above SAE accessory leads that supply 12V direct to the charging head. Is that right? If that is the case WTF are they not supplied by PD as standard?

Peak Design sell two charging heads, Qi1 and model Qi2.

As far as I can make out, Qi2 supplies more power (as required by some phones) than Qi1

My chargers are all model 2. They:

A. Charge a large modern iPhone, via the cigarette lighter socket in my vehicle(s) with no problem at all. This is with the phone running MyRoute’s Navigation app and other app’s simultaneously.

B. As above, when used on my motorcycle(s) powered via a Thunderbox.

I dont’t think there is anything particularly special about the USB leads I am using.

Both heads are latest Qi2 spec. Yamaha USB point is 3A and the Peak Design charger in the van is 2.5A, so I think it should work.

Maybe a bit more testing is needed.

Edit: I'm using the USB C leads that came with the mounts. They will supply the charging head with 5v, but the heads will also operate on 12V via the PD SAE lead option, which will produce more output for charging. Well, that's my understanding of it anyway.
