It's definitely on it's way out. If you even try and start it with the lights on, it's suddenly midnight again.

I hear the gel ones are the ones to get. Anyone know a good online shop to get one from and the exact battery as I'm feeling extremely lazy.

A virtual pint for the answer!

I bought a standard OEM BMW battery a month ago from Bahnstormers - £115 all in. But needed it urgently and couldnt wait (Bike is used for work).
Steptoe recommended original OEM batteries a while back - can't remember why they were better than Oddity ones though.

Pity you couldn't have got the Motorworks one for about £45 cheaper

Yup - have ordered mine now. Sadly though threre's a delay of about 7 days currently.

I wouldn't wait. remember there are alternatives to Motorworks.

Motobins sell the same battery.. as does James Sherlock. (i believe) and both offer the same level of service. It's unlikely that all 3 will be out of stock at the same time. Though not impossible; I guess.

My first choice is always Motorworks - pure habit. but if they can't deliver, I'm not afraid to go elswhere.

btw.. be aware that the 'original OEM Battery' is simply the same GEL Exide with BMW printed on the side.. thats the only difference and paying £115 for that is a joke. (though obviously 'Dolly' didn't have a choice)

Seems Motobins sell a wider range of GEL Batteries than Motorworks.. so always worth trying.

Never felt as ripped off before by a main stealer - but then, they have it all in stock and pretty helpful. I asked out of curiosity how much to fit there and then... £50! I left pretty promptly before they charged me for parking on their premises. (Missed out on the biccys and tea too!)

Hate being in a rush all the time.
