Just thought I'd share this with you all.
Battery on the GSA dead as a dead thing in the middle of rural France last week, However Jump started OK rode for 200miles before finding and fitting new battery.
Things to note
1. Bike rode OK with a few farts and coughs.(100kph fine)
2. Brake failure light was on ( ABS Fail I think)
3. Speedo OK but the mileage was racking up the miles, after 200 miles I had put on a extra 2000+ miles on the clock. I had a adv speed of 303 mph and that was after riding through a large city for 25 mins.
4. New battery fitted all back to normal! except for the extra mileage. (Don't think Mr BMW will wind it back)
SO BEWARE IF YOU RIDE WITH FLAT BATTERY (Watch the Mileage).
On the plus side don't let a flat battery spoil you trip.
